ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team dropped an American Southwest Conference match in straight sets to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru at the Mabee Athletic Complex Saturday.
The Cowgirls went down in three sets with scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-23. The Cowgirls hit .094 in the game with 38 kills while the Cru hit .172 with 38 kills.
Liz Underwood led the Cowgirls with ten kills.
Ali Meyer had 14 assists for HSU and
Keatyn Rodgers had 13 assists.
Kat Martinez had 28 digs to lead the Cowgirls while Underwood had 14 and Meyer had 12 digs.
The Cowgirls drop to 10-12 and 4-6 on the year in the ASC while UMHB moves to 23-1 and 12-1 in the conference. Hardin-Simmons will host McMurry on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Mabee Complex.
