LONGVIEW, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team played to a scoreless tie Thursday night against LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference play.
 
The Cowboys came off the first ASC game of the season with a big 3-0 win over McMurry and headed across the metroplex to play LeTourneau before a trip to ETBU Saturday.
 
Hardin-Simmons led in all major categories on the night, with 16 shots, six shots on goal, and seven corner kicks forced. Some late antics and timely fouls saved the Yellowjackets from a few more attacking opportunities from the Cowboys, and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
 
Carson Null started in goal and went full time with a save in the shutout for the Cowboys.
 
The Cowboys move to a season total of 2-4-4 and 1-0-1 in American Southwest Conference play with another ASC match at East Texas Baptist on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
