RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team dropped the final game of the regular season 3-1 at UT Dallas on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
Hardin-Simmons ends the regular season with an ASC record of 6-8 and will await the official release of the ASC Tournament schedule to follow.
The Cowgirls went down to the Comets in sets of 25-19, 22-25, 26-24, 25-17. HSU hit .368 in set two to for the set they won.
Rachel Nordt led all Cowgirls with 11 kills.
Liz Underwood and
Jadyn Hernandez had eight kills each.
Hernandez added five blocks in the contest for the Cowgirls.
Ali Meyer led with 21 assists and
Keatyn Rodgers assisted 14 times.
Kat Martinez had 19 digs to lead the team and
Lydia Headley and Rodgers each added 12 digs for the Cowgirls defense.
The Cowgirls finish the regular season at 12-14 and 6-8 in ASC play with the information on the ASC Volleyball Tournament to be released later.
