MARSHALL, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' baseball team dropped its American Southwest Conference series finale 16-1 at East Texas Baptist on Saturday afternoon in Marshall.

Colby Seltzer hit a home run for the Cowboys in the top of the first inning and it was all Tigers after that.

ETBU scored a run in the second, four in the third, five in the fourth inning and six more in the fifth inning.

Seltzer had two of the five HSU hits. Brandon Bane, the first of five HSU pitchers, took the loss after allowing seven hits and five runs in two innings.

Hayden Robichaux earned the win for ETBU to improve to 5-1. He allowed one run on four hits in five innings.

Austin Barry had four hits and drove in six home runs. He had four home runs and drove in 13 runs in the series.

HSU is now 14-20 on the year and 9-12 in league play. ETBU improved to 24-8 overall and 19-2 in league play. The Cowboys host LeTourneau next weekend with huge ASC postseason implications.
