Cowboys Fall Victim to Late PK, Lose 2-1 at Texas Lutheran

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ Cowboy soccer team fell late to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs 2-1 on Friday night playing at Gustafson Field.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team fell late to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs 2-1 on Friday night playing at Gustafson Field.
 
TLU got the first score in the 14th minute, but the Cowboys answered in the same minute with a penalty goal from Maxwell Winneker to tie the match at 1-1.
 
The Bulldogs escaped with a win on a penalty goal scored with two minutes left in the match to win 2-1 and remain unbeaten on the year.
 
The Cowboys out-shot the Bulldogs seven to five with four on goal to two shots on goal. TLU led with five corner kicks to four from HSU.
 
The Cowboys drop to 0-3-3 on the season and will head down to Houston to play at St. Thomas (Tex.) on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
