ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team routed the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 6-0 in an American Southwest Conference win on Saturday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The game started in favor of the Cowboys with a whiffed clear that
Jack Sissen tapped in for a freebie goal in the opening minute to make it 1-0 HSU.
Maxwell Winneker repositioned his run to get a head on a goal in the third minute from a
Brandon Krohn Corner to make it a quick 2-0 Cowboy lead.
J.J. Sissen got the second Cowboy header-goal in the 28
th minute with an assist from brother

Winneker wasn't finished scoring and got his second goal running straight into the back net with assists from Krohn and
James Webb from another Cowboy corner in the 33
rd minute.
Liam Cisneros found a goal for the Cowboys in the 47
th minute to start the second half after connecting on a ball bouncing around in the box to make it 5-0 Cowboys.
Omar Estrada finished the Cowboy night in style with a header flick into the corner for goal in the 66
th minute thanks to a beautiful ball in from
Nick Ocasio to end the game at 6-0 Cowboys.
HSU shot 21 times with nine shots on goal and had 14 corner kicks.
Carson Null started in goal for the Cowboys and had two saves in 64 minutes before
Reid Applewhite came in to collect two saves in the final 26 minutes.
The Cowboys improve to 7-3-2 and 3-1 in the ASC and will host the ETBU Tigers on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the HSU Soccer Complex.
