BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team remained undefeated in the American Southwest Conference after a 1-0 win at Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday night hosted by the Crusaders.
The deciding goal came from senior
Gabby Aviles, who scored her 11
th goal of the season for HSU in the 65
th minute with an assist from
Caroline Burrow for the 1-0 win over UMHB.
The Cowgirls improve to 7-0 in the American Southwest Conference with just a weekend remaining in the regular season after the win.
Hardin-Simmons shot seven times with three shots on goal and earned three corner kicks in the win in Belton.
Jenna Russell started in goal and had six saves in the shutout win for the Cowgirls.
Hardin-Simmons ends the weekend with a record of 14-1-2 and 7-0 in the ASC and will play at Howard Payne next Saturday at 5 p.m. in Brownwood, Texas.
