LONGVIEW, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team dropped a game 3-2 playing at LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference play on the road Saturday.
The Cowgirls went down to LeTourneau 10-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-14, 15-13 in five sets. Hardin-Simmons won sets one and three before dropping the final two in the 3-2 defeat.
Liz Underwood led the Cowgirl attack with 10 kills.
Abbi Allen hit nine kills and
Avery Tumlinson hit eight kills with no attack errors, hitting .571 to lead HSU.
Underwood also led in digs with 13 for a double-double with kills.
Kat Martinez collected 12 digs for the Cowgirls.
Ali Meyer led the team with 21 assists and totaled four service aces.
Keatyn Rodgers had 16 assists and led Hardin-Simmons with five services aces.
The Cowgirls drop the match at LeTourneau and fall to 14-8 and 4-4 in the conference with a trip to the University of St. Thomas next weekend to play in Houston, Texas starting Friday at noon against UST.
