ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team went down to nine players in a 2-0 loss to the UMHB Cru in American Southwest Conference play on Thursday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowboys rolled into another ASC match after starting 2-0 last week in conference play and looked good through 31 minutes until an unfortunate red card o the Cowboy leading scorer

Hardin-Simmons played down a man for 30 more minutes late into the second half with a scoreless tie before another dangerous play red card forced off
Daniel Villagomez and left the Cowboys playing with nine players against 11 for the Cru.
UMHB was able to get in a goal and benefited from a penalty kick to score a second goal in the 76
th and 85th minutes, respectively, to win 2-0 at Hardin-Simmons.
The Cowboys had 14 shots with three on goal and had ten corner kicks, but were unable to come away with a score, especially hampered after going down a man and then a second late.
Carson Null started in goal and had a tough finish in the loss but racked up seven saves, including a few unbelievable grabs for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys fall to 6-3-1 and 2-1 in American Southwest Conference play and will face the UT-Dallas Comets on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in non-conference play.
