ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team swept the LeTourneau Yellowjackets 3-0 in American Southwest Conference play on Saturday at the Mabee Athletic Complex.
The Cowgirls won the match in three sets of 25-22, 25-19, and 27-25. The Cowgirls trailed late in set three before coming back to finish the sweep of LETU.
Liz Underwood led the Cowgirls with 12 kills against the Yellowjackets.
Gabby Jones notched ten kills for HSU.
Ali Meyer had 21 assists to lead Hardin-Simmons and
Keatyn Rodgers assisted 18 times on Saturday.
Kat Martinez led the Cowgirl team with 21 digs and
Leigh Jespersen added 11 digs for the Cowgirl squad in the win.
The Cowgirls improve to 10-5 and 2-2 in American Southwest Conference play. Hardin-Simmons will play at McMurry on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. across town in Abilene.
