COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy basketball team went down 95-76 to the Colorado College Tigers on Thursday night on the road.
The Cowboys shot 38% on the night at Colorado College, going a modest 25-65 shooting. Unfortunately, their opponent had a remarkable night, shooting for 53%, with 30-56 made shots, including 15-24 from beyond the arc.
The Cowboys were behind in the rebounding category by a narrow 33-38 margin. HSU won the turnover battle, only committing eight turnovers and forcing 13 from Colorado College.
Hardin-Simmons trailed 40-26 after the first half and the second half saw both teams score big, with the Tigers winning the half 55-50, for a final score of 95-76.
Chris Bryant led the Cowboys with 19 points.
Austin Brewer scored 12 points and
Asher Fleming had his best night of the year with 12 points on four made 3-pointers for HSU.
The Cowboys fall to 4-6 on the season and will play tomorrow against Willamette at 2 p.m., hosted at Colorado College.
