CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball team rounded up the Ozarks Eagles by a final score 81-53 in American Southwest Conference play on the road Thursday.
The Cowgirls got a leg up on Ozarks with a 12-2 run in the first four minutes to open the game and ended the first quarter up 24-15. HSU pushed out to a 42-22 lead over the Eagles going in at halftime.
The Cowgirls held a 25-point lead leaving the third quarter and ended in an 81-52 win at Ozarks in the ASC game Thursday night.
Hardin-Simmons shot 47 percent in the game and took the rebounding margin 38-37 over Ozarks and won the turnover battle with just eight HSU turnovers and forcing 16 from Ozarks.
Four Cowgirls went in double-figures against Ozarks.
Paris Kiser led with 20 points and added four steals for the defense.
Parris Parmer scored ten points and had the team-lead in rebounds with seven.
Madison Williams scored 15 for the Cowgirls and
Samantha Tatum had 12 points in the win at Ozarks.
The Cowgirls improve to 18-3 and 10-2 in American Southwest Conference play and will travel to UT Dallas on Saturday to play the Comets at 1 p.m. in Richardson.
