CLAREMONT, Calif. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team dropped 9-0 to the No. 4 ranked Case Western Reserve University Spartans on Monday afternoon playing in California.
The Cowboy doubles teams all took a handful of games against the ranked Spartan duos.
Luke Cantu and Justis Petersilie went down 8-4 to Aduru and Maza.
Zach Fowler and
Payne Smith lost 8-5 to the team of French and Narang and
Brandon Curiel and
Jordan Oberbillig played to an 8-4 defeat for the Cowboys against Devaraj and Kosseifi.
Smith got a few games won against Hishinuma, falling 6-4 and 6-2 in singles No. 4. Curiel contested Plunkett in No. 5 singles to a 6-3, 6-2 loss.
The Cowboys will play Occidental College on Tuesday to wrap up the California trip.
