SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team fell playing at Trinity on Sunday in a 3-0 final score against the Tigers.
The Cowgirls kicked off the season with a win at Texas Lutheran Friday and ended opening weekend in San Antonio Sunday night.
Trinity scored in the 12
th minute to take the lead 1-0. The Tigers added a goal in the 24
th minute and the 79
th minute to finish a 3-0 game over the Cowgirls.
Hardin-Simmons had 10 shots with two on goal in the game. Trinity shot 13 times with six shots on goal.
HSU led the game with eight corner kicks to just one allowed against Trinity.
Abigail Medlin started the game at goalkeeper for the Cowgirls and finished with two saves playing the first half.
Jenna Russell came in and played keeper for HSU the during second half and had one save.
The Cowgirls fall to 1-1 after the game at Trinity and will open at home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. against UC Santa Cruz at the HSU Soccer Complex.
