ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team dropped a 1-0 game to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Friday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowboys came off two wins last week against Austin College and McMurry and took on the Bulldogs of TLU who came in 3-0-1 on the year to play the Cowboys on Friday.
Texas Lutheran got a goal in the 34
th minute after a rebound from a free kick in close to take the lead 1-0.
The Cowboys had some chances in the match but were not able to convert any into goals against a stout TLU defense and fell by a final score of 1-0.
HSU had 12 shots to 15 from TLU with four shots on goal for HSU and nine for TLU. Hardin-Simmons led with eight corners to five.
Carson Null had four saves in the game, starting and going the distance for the Cowboys in goal.
Hardin-Simmons drops to 2-2-1 and will play next Thursday at Concordia Texas in Austin at 7 p.m.
