BROWNWOOD, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball team defeated the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 87-57 on Thursday night in American Southwest Conference play for the 16
th win for HSU on the season.
The Cowgirls were tied at 11-11 after the first quarter and jumped out 40-26 at halftime and never looked back in the 87-57 win.
Hardin-Simmons shot 50 percent on the road and had 34 rebounds in the game. The Cowgirls forced 23 turnovers and only committed eight in the game.
Thirteen different Cowgirls scored in the big team win. They were led by
Madison Williams,
Kylie Ellsworth, and
Dylan Koele, who each scored 11 points at Howard Payne.

th win and move to 2-1 in ASC play and will host the UTD Comets next Thursday for a non-conference game at the Mabee Athletic Complex at 5:30 p.m.
