ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball team defeated the Rhodes College Lynx 89-38 on Saturday at the Mabee Athletic Complex for the 13^th Cowgirl win of the year.
 
The Cowgirls handled Rhodes, holding the opponent to shooting 28% on the afternoon. Hardin-Simmons shot 43% and made 11 3-point shots to lead big the whole way in the 89-38 route.
 
Hardin-Simmons led with 46 rebounds to 42 rebounds and forced 29 Rhodes turnovers.
 
Madison Williams led the Cowgirls with 24 points on 9-19 shooting with six makes from beyond the arc.
 
Jacqueline Berry scored 10 points and led HSU with seven rebounds. Thirteen total Cowgirls got a bucket against Rhodes in the big win for Hardin-Simmons.
 
The Cowgirls get to 13-1 on the season with a game against Trinity in San Antonio next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. before starting American Southwest Conference play at ETBU on Jan. 16.
