THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy basketball team went down 60-56 to the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen on Tuesday night on the west coast to wrap up the road trip.
Hardin-Simmons jumped out to an 18-6 lead midway through the first. The Kingsmen pulled it back close heading into halftime down 31-30 to the Cowboys.
The momentum swung back to Cal Lutheran to start the second half as they saw their biggest lead with nine minutes to go up 46-34 on HSU.
The Cowboys went on a 12-4 run to take the lead 54-52 with three minutes to go but went down at the end 60-56 to the Kingsmen.

Chris Bryant, and
Trevion Howell all had 12 points each for the Cowboys. Bryant added seven rebounds, four assists, and five blocks for Hardin-Simmons against Cal Lu.
HSU held the edge in rebounding 37-36 but lost the turnover margin, committing 18 to only 11 turnovers by the Kingsmen. Cal Lutheran finished with 15 steals in the game.
Hardin-Simmons is 8-8 on the year and will travel to play at Schreiner on Saturday in Kerrville, Texas beginning at 2 p.m.
