RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team went down in a dual match 6-1 to the Cal Lutheran Regals on Friday playing at UT-Dallas.
Nick Boquet and Jameson Sorrell combined for a Cowboy win in the third doubles match 6-4. The Cowboys dropped the point for doubles, falling in the first and second matches.
Boquet wo the day and had a win in singles playing in the third flight. He came back to defeat Loup Sudre 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Payne Smith dropped a split set at first singles 6-5, 5-7, 0-1(7). Maddux Foster also forced a third set at six singles, losing 3-6, 6-0, 0-1(6).
The Cowboys go to 0-3 to start the year. The game at LeTourneau on Saturday has been postponed until March 20 due to weather, so the Cowboys will next play on Feb. 22 at home against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
