ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team defeated the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles 6-1 for head coach

th career win at Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.
The Cowgirls dropped the first match of the day to Trinity in straight sets.
Laurel Coleman and
Jonnah Smith opened doubles with a win against OKWU 6-2 to help earn the doubles point.
Coleman took a split decision to win the first singles match in a comeback 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 playing against Espinal.
Taylor Levy won the third singles match for HSU with another comeback 1-6, 7-6(7-2), 6-2 taking down Nancy Handerson.
Sydney Tomlin defeated Madeline Handerson in a split set 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 at the fourth singles match and
Emma Curiel finished the win at six singles 6-2, 6-2 beating Aleksic.
The Cowgirls win to go to 1-2 on the season and will host McMurry on Feb. 28 starting at 10 a.m. at the Streich Tennis Center.
