ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy and Cowgirl tennis teams each dropped a match to the UT-Permian Basin Falcons out of the Division II Lone Star Conference on Friday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
The Cowboys fell 7-0 and the Cowgirls went down 6-1 to the Falcons. Laurel Coleman had a big win for the Cowgirls in the one singles match with a 6-2, 7-6(8-6) tiebreaker finish against her DII opponent Singh from UTPB.
 
The Cowboys go to a record of 5-7 and the Cowgirls drop to 5-6 on the season after UTPB. Hardin-Simmons tennis will host Schreiner for men's and women's matches on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Streich Tennis Center.
