ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team went down 6-1 to the Southwestern Pirates on Friday afternoon playing at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
Hardin-Simmons dropped the three doubles matches on the day for the point and won one singles match on the day for the point 6-1.
 
Zach Fowler had won the third singles match on Friday afternoon playing against Nathan Qi. Fowler won 6-4, 6-4 for the Cowboys at No. 3.
 
The Cowgirls drop to 7-11 on the year and will be at it again tomorrow against Concordia Texas at noon at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
