LONGVIEW, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl softball team kept rolling against LeTourneau on Saturday with two wins 11-1 and 9-7 in American Southwest Conference play to sweep the four-game road series.
Freshman
Hannah Aaron pitched game one for the Cowgirls on Saturday. She went six innings with just one run allowed on five hits in the win.
Hardin-Simmons scored two in the third, one in the fourth, five in the fifth, and three in the sixth inning before run ruling the Yellowjackets 11-1.
Jazlynn Cantu led the team with three hits and a double.
Caitlin Clem led the Cowgirls with three RBIs, all on a homer in the fifth inning.

Emily Jacobs,
Lindsey Ratcliffe,
Grace Thompson,
Kristen McMillan, and Cantu added RBIs in the Cowgirl win 11-1.
The Cowgirls had 14 hits in game one for 11 runs and matched that with 14 hits in game two in a 9-7 win. Hardin-Simmons had to come back from trailing 6-1 to LETU early in game two.
The Cowgirls got one run from a Jacobs' RBI in the fourth to make it 6-2 LETU. HSU took the lead 7-6 with five runs in the fifth inning.
Cantu doubles for two RBIs and McMillan singled for another RBI. Jacobs drove in two more runs to take the lead in the fifth inning.
LeTourneau tied the game 7-7 on the sixth inning, but the Cowgirls took the lead on an error with two runs in the seventh to win 9-7 on Saturday.
Henson led the Cowgirls with three hits with a triple. Jacobs, Clem, Ratcliffe, and
Grace Thompson each had two hits in the game.
Jacobs led with three RBIs and Cantu and two RBIs. Thompson and McMillan each had one RBI in game two.
Gabby Montanez started the day for the Cowgirls with an inning plus pitching with a strikeout, and was relieved by
Kelly Shackelford, who threw three plus innings.
Akaysia Grogan got the win in the final two innings with the late runs scoring for eth Cowgirls, throwing a strikeout and just allowing one LETU hit in the final innings.
The Cowgirls improved to 23-4 and 7-1 in ASC play after the sweep at LeTourneau and will travel to UT-Dallas for games on Thursday and Friday for Easter weekend, beginning April 17 at 4&6 p.m.
