BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team dropped the final match of the regular season 5-2 playing against the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs on Friday at UMHB.

The Cowgirls took the doubles point with two of three matches won. Laurel Coleman and Addyson Tylaska defeated Ghaffari and Wu in the second doubles match 7-6 (7-5).

Triniti McBride and Jonnah Smith won the third doubles match 7-6 (7-4) over the UCSC team of Sweden and Damojipurapu.

Tylaska had the other point for the Cowgirls on the day, winning the sixth singles match. Tylaska beat Azzi 6-1, 6-4.

The Cowgirls finish the regular season 6-13 and will head to the ASC championship tournament on Friday, May 2 at UMHB. The Cowgirls will match up with ETBU and begin at 10 a.m.
