ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' football team was picked to repeat as champions in the American Southwest Conference Preseason Poll and also had three players named to the preseason D3football.com All-American team.
Senior center
Hayden Philpot was named a first-team selection by D3football.com. Junior linebacker
Kaiden Roden and senior guard
Bode Walters were named to the second team.
Hardin-Simmons was picked sixth in the first preseason D3football.com poll announced earlier and today was also picked sixth in the preseason D3 poll by the American Football Coaches Association.
Roden was also named the preseason ASC preseason player of the year and
Noah Garcia was named the ASC offensive player of the year.
Kyle Brown,
Harrison Foster and
Cade Smillie were named to the players to watch list.
