DELAWARE, Ohio – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday night on the road.
The Cowgirls forced the issue against the Bishops with 27 shots, 15 in the first half and 12 shots in the second half, including ten shots on goal. OWU held up on defense and kept the Cowgirls off the board all night for the 0-0 draw.
Hardin-Simmons allowed just five shots and one shot on goal for the opposition. The lone shot on goal was saved by Cowgirl keeper
Abigail Medlin who went the distance in the shutout no decision.
The Bishop keeper Natalie Ryan had a busy night in her own shutout with ten saves. The Cowgirls forced five corner kicks and CWU took one corner in the contest.
Hardin-Simmons left the first stop of the road trip to Ohio 2-0-1 and will play again Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against Capital (Ohio) in Bexley, Ohio.
