ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team went down to Oklahoma Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center, hosting the NAIA opponent out of the KCAC.
Allie Dunn finished with a Cowgirl win at the sixth flight of singles. She went up two sets to none over Mary Cone, winning 6-2, 6-3.
The second Cowgirl point of the match came from
Abigail Diamond winning on an early retire at the fifth flight of singles.
Two Cowgirls went to a split-set tiebreaker.
Sydney Tomlin went down in the first flight of singles 1-6, 6-2, 0-1 (8-10).
Addyson Tylaska fell in the third flight of singles 3-6, 7-6(7-3), 0-1 (3-10) for Hardin-Simmons.
The Cowgirls fall to 2-5 on the season and will play in Hilton Head, South Carolina for a handful of games during the spring break trip, beginning March 7 at 1 p.m. central time against Rochester.
