HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team dropped a dual match 4-3 with the University of Rochester playing at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort on Saturday.
 
The Cowgirls went down in the second and third flight of doubles before winning 7-6 (7-4) in the first flight of doubles with the team of Sydney Tomlin and Brenna Gordon.
 
Tomlin quickly took the first flight of singles, defeating Katie Yang 6-3, 6-2 to even the match at 1-1.
 
Addyson Tylaska won at the third flight of singles, coming back 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7) to give the Cowgirls a 2-1 match lead.
 
The UR Yellowjackets won the second singles flight to pull even and won the sixth flight of singles to take a 3-2 lead. Rochester finished the match with a win at the fourth flight of singles.
 
Taylor Levy finished with a win for Hardin-Simmons in another comeback, 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7) against Esther Wang.
 
The Cowgirls fell to 2-6 on the year and will play Shenandoah University on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. central time in Hilton Head, S.C.
