BROWNWOOD, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis swept the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 7-0 in American Southwest Conference play on Friday.
 
Payne Smith and Gabriel Harriss won 6-0 in first flight doubles. Maddux Foster and Kayden Lengacher won 6-0 in second flight doubles, and Brandon Curiel and Pedro Rozani won 6-2 in the third doubles match.
 
Payne Smith defeated Keeney-McCollough in first flight of singles 6-1, 6-4 for the Cowboys.
 
Maddux Foster won second flight singles 6-1, 6-2 playing Harker from Howard Payne.
 
Gabriel Harris defeated Fleming for a third flight singles win for HSU 6-1, 6-0.
 
Brandon Curiel won 6-0, 6-0 for the Cowboys in the fourth flight playing Hoel.
 
Kayden Lengacher won 6-1, 6-1 for Hardin-Simmons in the fifth flight of singles, defeating Hall.
 
Pedro Rozani won 6-1, 6-0 playing Beaudin in the sixth flight singles win for Hardin-Simmons.
 
The Cowboys are now 9-8 this year and will travel to play against UC Santa Cruz on April 17 at Coppell high school at 1 p.m. in Coppell, Texas.
