BROWNWOOD, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team won 6-1 at Howard Payne on Friday in American Southwest Conference play on the road.
 
The Cowgirls won the doubles point with a walkover against HPU. Emma Curiel and Taylor Levy won the second flight doubles match 6-4 against Delafuente and Werlein.
 
Brenna Gordon won the second flight of singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Ramos.
 
Addyson Tylaska won 6-1, 6-0 playing Delafuente in the third flight singles match for the Cowgirls.
 
Taylor Levy won the fourth flight match at 6-1, 6-1, defeating Werlein from Howard Payne.
 
The Cowgirls picked up two more wins with walkovers against an understaffed Howard Payne team.
 
The Cowgirls improved to 7-11 on the season and will play against UC Santa Cruz on April 17 at Coppell high school at 1 p.m. in Coppell, Texas.
