ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team won 3-1 against the Concordia Texas Tornados on Tuesday night at the Mabee Athletic Complex.
HSU won with sets of 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 25-11 in the 3-1 won over Concordia. The Cowgirls hit 55 kills in four sets, and only allowed 39 kills from Concordia. HSU swung for .282 as a team hitting percentage in the game and served 13 service aces.
Avery Tumlinson led the Cowgirls in the middle with 13 kills and added two blocks against Concordia.
Addy Delgado had 11 kills for the Cowgirls and
Rachel Nordt hit nine kills in the win.
Jadyn Hernandez led the team with six blocks, and
Paige Stegall had three blocks as well for the HSU team.
Allison O'Shaughnessy had 25 assists and ten digs for the Cowgirls in four sets.
Brylee Pursley led all with 26 digs in the match.
The Cowgirl team improved to 9-5 on the season after defeating CTX and will host McMurry on Friday night at 6 p.m. in the Mabee Athletic Complex.
