SEGUIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team scored five goals for the second straight game with a 5-1 win at Texas Lutheran on Wednesday night.
The Cowgirls opened quickly with the first career goal from
Jadyn Jones in the 12
th minute of play for the lead with a
Maeve Connerty assist.
Tatum Barnett scored her third goal of the season after two in the last match, to extend the Cowgirl lead in the 26
th minute with a
Rainey Surratt assist.
Connerty got on the board with the third Cowgirl goal in the 35
th minute with a Barnett assist. The pair lead the Cowgirls in total points after the game, with three goals and three assists for Barnett and two goals and three assists from Connerty in the first six games.
Hardin-Simmons finished off with the first career goal by
Kylee Kuykendall and another goal from
Taylor Koch to make it a 5-1 win in the end.
HSU shot 23 times with ten shots on goal and four corner kicks, to lead the TLU Bulldogs in all categories.

Rebecca Hall started and went the full 90 minutes with one allowed and five saves in the win.
Hardin-Simmons improved to 3-2-1 on the season and will play McMurry on the road at the south side of Abilene on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
