2013: Uechi was a staple in the heart of the Cowboys lineup lastseason.  He started all 42 games, with the majority of themcoming at second base.  Led the Cowboys in eight offensivecategories: 37 runs, 52 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, 29 RBI, 12HBP, .439 OB% and 11 stolen bases.  He and two other Cowboysalso hit three home runs.  Uechi finished the season with a.331 average. He ended the season with 14 multi-hit games. Uechi was named first-team all-ASC second base and also namedacademic all-ASC for the 2013 season.  2012: Played bothsecond base and shortstop for the Cowboys after transferring fromAbilene Christian. Hit .227 with a home run and 10 RBIs. Scored 21runs and had 11 doubles. Had eight multi-hit games. Hit a home runagainst Sul Ross State. High School: Played for coach Bruce Holmesat San Antonio Marshall where he was a two-time academicall-district selection. Personal: Son of Ron and Brenda Uechi.
