Footer is one of the top performers in the history of the HSU track program. He is a two-time NCAA qualifier in the 110 hurdles.
2014: Swept the 110 and 400 hurdles at the ASC Championship for the second straight year. Won the HSU invitational.
2013: Qualified for the NCAA Championship. Had the hurdles sweep at the ASC Championship. Ran at the Texas Relays. Won the War Hawk Classic and HSU Invitational meets.
2012: Qualified for the NCAA Championship in the 110 hurdles. He advanced to the finals before placing ninth overall. Won the Trinity open and the Trinity Classic, the HSU Invitational and the Tiger Relays.
2012 first-place finishes: Trinity Open 110M hurdles (15.27s), HSU Invitational 110M hurdles (15.02s), Tiger Relays 110M hurdles (14.72s), and Trinity Alumni Classic 110M hurdles (14.36s).
Also is a wide receiver on the HSU football team.
Personal: He is a 2011 graduate of Cooper High School. He is the son of Brett and Carol Footer. Has two brothers, Bryce, 20 and Corey, 19. Exercise Science major. Born May 16, 1992.
