Floyd is in his fourth season as a full-time coach for the Cowboys and his second as the secondary coach.
Last year in his first full-time role as the secondary coach, he had two first-team All-ASC defensive backs in Harrison Foster and Mike Akinbisola. Mason Cravens was second-team all leaague and Jaymarcus Wilson was honorable mention all-ASC. Â
He played at HSU from 2015 to 2019. He spent one season at the University of Arkansas and then served as a graduate assistant at HSU before joining the full-time staff.Â
The Amarillo native has a bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons in business administration and economics.and a master’s of business administration from HSU.
He married former Cowgirl soccer standout Caitlin Christiansen in March of 2023.
