AUSTIN, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons'
men's basketball team saw its three-game winning streak come
to an end as they fell 94-78 to Concordia in American Southwest
Conference Thursday evening at the Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Cowboys turned the ball over 33 times in the game and Concordia
turned those turnovers into points every time the Cowboys got the
game within striking distance. The Cowboys closed the deficit to
nine at one point, but Concordia closed the game out down the
stretch.
HSU only led one time at 34-33 but Concordia scored the next seven
points and HSU never led again.
Casey Riddle led the Cowboys with 18 points. Terrence Willis had 12
points and Rob Yeatts and Carlos Singer each had 10 points.
Brad Walker scored 27 points and had 11 rebounds to pace
Concordia.
HSU fell to 6-11 overall and 5-8 in ASC play. Concordia moved a
game ahead of the Cowboys at 7-10 overall and 6-7 in league play.
HSU plays at Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
