BROWNWOOD, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team won 79-49 over Howard Payne on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play to move to 3-1 in the conference.

The Cowboys got up to a 17-point lead at halftime and didn't look back, wrapping up their road trip with a victory over the Yellow Jackets.

The Cowboys had four players in double-figure points. Anthony Hunter led with 13 and Trey Brown had 12. Kyle Brennon and Jordyn Vicente both scored 11 on the night.

The Yellow Jackets had Tyrell Thompson and Michael House who led all scoring with 16 points apiece.

The Cowboys finish their road trip with the win and move to 8-3 and 3-1 in ASC play. Howard Payne falls to 0-10 and 0-4 in the conference. HSU basketball will be back at home next week starting with UMHB on Thursday night in the Mabee Complex.
