ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team rallied for an 81-71 win over McMurry in American Southwest Conference action on Saturday night at Kimbrell Arena.

McMurry jumped out to an early 15-7 lead and led 22-13 with 7:15 to play in the first half. Chase Cobb then hit a 3-pointer to start a 12-5 spurt and Steven Quinn ended it with a 3-pointer to narrow the deficit to 27-25. McMurry led 34-31 at halftime.

With McMurry leading 53-48 with 9:22 to play, the Cowboys started their closing kick. HSU outscored McMurry 16-4 over the next 5:10 and then held on down the stretch.

HSU swept the three games between the two teams this season.

Cobb led the Cowboys with a career-best 24 points. Steven Quinn had 15 points, Trey Wooldridge had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Aidan Walsh scored 10 points.

Remy Minor led the War Hawks with 23 points and DJ Worrell added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cowboys are now 15-5 on the year and 10-3 in conference play. McMurry fell to 4-13 overall and 4-9 in ASC play. HSU will close the regular season with a pair of games next week at the Mabee Complex against Ozarks and UT-Dallas.
