Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball started strong and won a crucial American Southwest Conference game, 105-92, at Concordia on Saturday afternoon. 
HSU opened the game with a 9-0 run all on 3-pointers and never trailed in the contest. HSU opened up a 21-point lead on the Tornados in the first half.
The Tornados methodically cut the deficit in the second half and cut it to 74-63 with 11:05 to play. Jamison Bosch then hit a 4-point play and added another 3-pointer his fourth of the game to push the lead back out to 15.
HSU was able to hold off the Tornados with good execution down the stretch. HSU had 24 assists on 37 made baskets in the contest.
Steven Quinn led the Cowboys with 33 points. Calaway Dykes added 21, Bosch scored 13 points and Austin Brewer scored 11.
It was his second straight game with 30 or more points for Quinn.  He passed Derrick Jefferson and is now second on the HSU all-time scoring list with 1656 points.
Luis Gonzalez led six Tornados in double figures with 20 points.
HSU is now 10-5 on the year and 5-3 in American Southwest Conference play. Concordia fell to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in ASC play. The Cowboys will stay on the road for a game at East Texas Baptist on Thursday.
