Biography

One of the Cowboys’ top playmakers at linebacker. 2010: Was having a solid season in his first season as a starter before breaking his foot in the Mary Hardin-Baylor game. After missing five games, he came back and had four tackles in the Louisiana College game. Had a career-best eight tackles in the win over Willamette. 2009: Really burst onto the scene as a sophomore, recording 27 tackles, including 3.5 for losses and two sacks. He also forced a fumble, blocked a kick and broke up a pass. Tied for the team lead with seven special teams tackles. Had five tackles, including a sack in the loss to Louisiana College and also had five tackles in the win over Texas Lutheran. High School: Was standout player for his dad Russell at Coleman High School. Personal: Son of Russell and Alice Buzzard. Has two brothers, Austin and Colton. Austin is also a linebacker for the Cowboys. Sports, Fitness and Leisure major. Born April 10, 1989.
