ABILENE, Texas -
Hardin-Simmons' spring sports team had a mixed result day on a busy day on the road.
Men's Tennis
The Cowboy men's tennis team split a doubleheader on Saturday, losing to nationally-ranked Trinity 9-0 in the morning and winning at Texas Lutheran, 8-1, in the afternoon. The win at TLU was the conference opener and moved the Cowboys ASC winning streak to 62 straight matches.
Women's Tennis
The Cowgirls split a pair of matches on Saturday, losing to Trinity 9-0 and sweeping Texas Lutheran, 9-0. HSU moved its ASC winning streak to 68 straight matches with the win.
Softball
The Cowgirl softball team dropped a pair of games at the LeTourneau Invitational. The Cowgirls fell 2-1 to third-ranked Plattsburgh State. Sadye Hill had her first home run of the season in the game.
HSU dropped a 10-6 decision to East Texas Baptist. It was the first time the Cowgirls allowed more than three runs this season in a game.
Baseball
Tre' Sellari hit a home run, had three hits and drove in four runs as HSU defeated Southwestern 12-5 in the first game of a doubleheader in Georgetown. The Cowboys fell 14-4 in the nightcap and are now 7-3 on the year.
