ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer
team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 4 Trinity on Friday afternoon in
the final game of the first day of the American Southwest
Conference – Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Challenge at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowboys actually outshot the Tigers in the game, but Trinity
made four of their seven shots on goal count for goals. The Cowboys
outshot Trinity 16-11 in the game and each team had seven shots on
goal.
Tommy Barros scored in the 14th minute, Chesley Farmer scored at
the 25:33 mark and Alan Lloblet scored seven minutes later. Trinity
received a Farmer goal in the second half to make it 4-0.
HSU is now 0-1-1 and Trinity improved to 3-1. The Cowboys will play
Southwestern on Saturday at 5 p.m. Southwestern lost to UT-Dallas
3-1 on Friday in the first men's game.
