Sarah Shurbet started the game and worked into the seventh inning for the Cowgirls. She was relieved with one out in the seventh by Megann Lewis who got out of the inning. Lewis (7-4) ended up getting the win in the circle. Lyssa Yates took the loss as she pitched six and two-thirds and allowed three runs.

In the first game, HSU scored first on an RBI single by Amy Meyer in the third. Concordia had back-to-back double to lead off the fourth to tie the game. HSU got an RBI single by Julia Bradley in the fourth to make it 2-1.

Concordia took the lead with three runs in the sixth. Meghan Farrell had a sacrifice fly and Candace Velasquez had a two-run single. HSU added a run in the sixth to make it 4-3. Jodi Hierholzer had an RBI single.

The Cowgirls stranded nine runners in the game, including five in scoring position.
