Jackson, Miss. – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team won 1-0 in overtime at Belhaven on Saturday night in American Southwest Conference play.

Reid Stewart was the hero of the night, scoring the golden goal less than a minute into overtime off a Blaine Phariss assist.

This win makes it two straight for the Cowboys, after winning 2-0 at Louisiana College on Thursday night.

The Cowboys had eight shots in the contest with three on frame. The Blazers had four shots in the game and one on goal.

Trent Ivy got his second straight shutout with a save, while Blazer keeper Thomas Blake has a couple saves in the loss.

HSU (2-8-1, 1-4 ASC) comes back home to play in Abilene next Thursday night against Howard Payne.
