Box Score RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team tied 2-2 after 110 minutes of play against the Texas-Dallas Comets on Thursday night in American Southwest Conference action.
The Comets took the lead in the 37th minute with a goal from Riley O'Donnell assisted by Joe Ruedi. The Cowboys answered in the very next minute, getting a goal from Nick Tudgay assisted by J.J. Sissen to tie in the 38th minute.
Oliver Hamby gave Texas-Dallas the lead in the 48th minute to make it 2-1 before Makenson Cadet hit the equalizer in the 51st minute to bring it back to a tie at 2-2. The game played to a draw after two overtime periods.
The Cowboys had 12 shots in the game with eight on goal. UT Dallas put eight of their 21 shots on goal. The Cowboys had five corners to the Comet seven.
Reid Applewhite started for HSU and went 110 with six saves and two allowed in the game. Trey Nickel started in goal for the Comets and also had six saves in the full time.
The Cowboys are now 4-4-1 and 3-0-1 in the ASC. UT Dallas is 6-3-3 and 2-1-2 in the conference. The Cowboys will head to Arkansas to play at Ozarks on Saturday with an early start at 2:30 p.m.
