ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team remained undefeated at home with an 80-48 rout of Concordia in American Southwest Conference action at the Mabee Complex

HSU came out and dominated the game from the tip as the starters jumped to an 8-0 run and the second unit came in and pushed the lead to 15-0 with 3:17 left in the first quarter and the Cowgirls led 20-5 at the end of the first quarter.

The Cowgirls pushed the lead out to 41- 14 at halftime and HSU cruised to the victory. All 18 Cowgirls played in the game and 13 scored.

Morgan Travis and Mikayla Ross each had their first career baskets. Amani Bradshaw made her collegiate debut after missing her first two seasons with season-ending injuries. Ross and Maddison Stratton made their career debuts.

HSU shot 51.7 percent on the night and hit a season-best 15 3-pointers. The Cowgirls had 22 assists on 31 made baskets and forced 28 turnovers that turned into 32 points.

Brittany Schnabel and Parris Parmer had 15 points each to pace the Cowgirls. Mikayla Johnson led the Tornados with 14 points.

The Cowgirls are now 8-1 on the year and 3-1 in ASC action. Concordia fell to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in ASC play. HSU will host Mary Hardin-Baylor at 1 p.m. on Saturday in its next action.
