Cowboys Fall 1-0 at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team fell 1-0 the Carthage College Firebirds on Saturday playing in Kenosha.

Carthage went for goal in the 60th minute with a score from Mickey Reilly to get the victory.

The Cowboys had eight shots and three on the frame while Carthage led with 20 shots and eight on goal. The Cowboys ad four corner kicks to the Firebird three.

Reid Applewhite started in goal for HSU and had four saves with one goal allowed in 90 minutes. Carthage had Christian Lekki at keeper who recorded three saves in the win.

The Cowboys fall to 0-2 on the year and will continue on the road at Trinity in San Antonio next Friday at 8 p.m.
