Box Score ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team got the win on the 3-0 sweep at McMurry on Tuesday at the Kimbrel Arena in American Southwest Conference play.
The Cowgirls went up 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 to defeat the War Hawks and improve to 3-1 in the ASC. HSU hit .204 in the match with 38 kills while McMurry hit .026 with 28 kills.
The Cowgirls were led on offense by
Gabby Jones with 13 kills with an impressive .524 hitting percentage.
Keatyn Rodgers had 16 assists to lead the team and
Ali Meyer added 14 for the Cowgirls.
Kat Martinez led the team with 11 digs in the win.
The Cowgirls improve to 8-5 on the year and 3-1 in the American Southwest Conference with another ASC match on Saturday on the road at LeTourneau at 1 p.m.
