Cowgirls Respond With a Win

MARSHALL, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team responded from its first defeat, with a 1-0 win over old-American Southwest Conference foe Austin College, Saturday afternoon in Marshall, Texas.

Amy Kuykendall scored on an assist from Carlyn Powers in the 70th minute. HSU totally dominated the game, but continued their early-season finishing problems.

HSU out shot Austin College 22-2 and 12-0 on-goal. HSU also had 10 corner kicks in the game to none for the Kangaroos.

HSU is now 3-1 on the year and opens American Southwest Conference play on Friday when it hosts Texas Lutheran.
