MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer
team picked up its first win of the season with a 1-0 win over
former conference rival Austin College, Sunday afternoon at Rhodes
University in Memphis, Tenn., in the SCAC-ASC Challenge.
The Cowgirls put the only goal of the game on the board in the
when Lindsay Cogburn found Jordan Morley and Morley headed it in
for her first goal of the season.
HSU controlled the play from the outset, outshooting the
Kangaroos 10-1. HSU had eight corners to two for AC.
Christi Carr pitched the shutout in goal, although she was
rarely tested.
HSU is now 1-1-2 on the year and will play at arch-rival Trinity
on Friday.
